What if I have other children?
Due to limited space and staffing, Amira’s House is not able to accept additional children. Please don’t let this be a barrier to getting help, we are happy to provide you with additional resources to help you on your journey.
How long can I stay at Amira’s House?
The length of your stay at Amira’s House will be determined by several different factors. Typically, we aim to see women stay through their pregnancy and up to one-year after their baby is born.
Am I expected to work while at Amira’s House?
Our ultimate goal is to see you thrive in all areas of life. During your pregnancy we will be working very intentionally with you to ensure that you are able to deliver a healthy baby. After the baby is born, we want to make sure that we leave ample time and space for you to bond with your baby. Once the baby is six to eight weeks old, you will be expected to engage in full-time work or school.
